Zach Slates was Assistant Director of the Fordham Intellectual Property Law Institute from 2010-2016. Before joining the Intellectual Property Institute, Zach was a Dean’s Fellow at the Fordham Corporate Law Center where his research focused on corporate governance and the regulation of financial markets. Zach was a Big Four accountant specializing in the insurance industry. Zach holds a JD from Fordham Law School, MAcc from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and BA in Classical Civilization from the University of Michigan.

Nick was the Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Fordham IP Institute where his work focused on researching IP law and policy, with an emphasis on copyright. In this role, he was primarily responsible for substantive legal projects including research and editorial work on amicus briefs, academic publications, and developing the IP Institute’s programming in other media. Before being appointed as Distinguished Senior Fellow, Nick previously served as the Assistant Director of the IP Institute where he was primarily responsible for organizing the Fordham IP Conference. Previously, as a teaching assistant, he developed curriculum for and taught EU IP and Advanced Copyright courses. As a student at Fordham Law School, Nick served as Symposium Editor for the Fordham International Law Journal and as an Associate Editor on the Fordham Moot Court Board. Nick holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA in English from Roosevelt University.

Sandra is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and completed an LL.M in Intellectual Property Law and Information Technology at Fordham cum laude in December, 2008. She also holds a Ph.D. in English from Penn. Sandra was an attorney for several years in the U.S. Department of Energy, where she specialized in international and administrative law, and has held legal positions in the Justice Department and Department of State. Before joining the Institute, she was a professor at the University of Arkansas and Georgia State University, where she specialized in 18th century British literature and culture. She was President of the South Central Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies.

As Senior Fellow at the Fordham IP Institute, Magdalena followed current and identified emerging issues in IP worldwide. Her focus was on trademark law with the goal of developing conference topics, educational programs, and research projects. In addition, she coordinated research for a survey casebook on trademark law, edited academic articles and drafted teaching materials. Magdalena is admitted to the New York State Bar and holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law summa cum laude from Fordham Law School. She was awarded the Emily C. and John E. Hansen Award for being ranked first in the program. Before coming to the United States, she worked as an IP litigator in Germany where she is still admitted to the Bar. Her practice focused on trademark and unfair competition litigation and trademark opposition proceedings. Magdalena studied law at the University of Passau.

Alex Bussey was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham IP Institute. Alex graduated from Fordham Law School, Magna Cum Laude, in 2013. At Fordham, Alex was the Senior Articles Editor for the Intellectual Property, Media, & Entertainment Law Journal and an intern at the Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property & Information Law Clinic. He was also one of the founding board members of the Fordham Art Law Society. Alex earned a B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Studio Art from Bethel University in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Daan Erikson was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Daan studied Entertainment Media and Identity at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. After earning his B.A. cum laude, Daan furthered his studies of media and intellectual property and received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Richard Fruin at Los Angeles Superior Court and interned with HBO’s Santa Monica office. Additionally, he spent his third year as a visiting student at Fordham Law School.

Eric was a Dean’s Fellow with the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. During his time at Fordham, he was the Senior Articles Editor for the Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal and and published a note on Chinese trade secret law. Eric was also an Associate Editor of the Fordham Moot Court Board and a legal intern with the Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property and Information Law Clinic. His duties with the Institute included researching and organizing the 24th Annual Fordham IP Conference and serving as a teaching assistant for Professor Hugh C. Hansen’s IP Survey course. Eric received his J.D. from Fordham University in 2015 and a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University.

Dinisha Fernando was a Research and Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Her research primarily focuses on developments in multilateral treaties involving intellectual property. She was also a member of the team organizing the 23rd Annual Intellectual Property Law & Policy Conference. Before joining the Institute, she was a White House Intern at the National Economic Council, where she worked on issues related to technology policy. She received her JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was a member of the Cardozo Public Law, Policy, and Ethics Journal. She graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester with Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Political Science.

Alysse Janet was a Research and  Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property institute. She is a Fordham Law School graduate (2014, LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law, Magna Cum Laude) and has received the Emily C. and John E. Hansen Award for being ranked top of her program. Additionally, she holds a French Master in intellectual Property Law, studying law in France for five years. Alysse had the opportunity to live, study and work in Nice, France, Paris, France and Boulder, Colorado before coming to New York. Her work with the Institute included researching topics, notably in trademark law, and organizing the 23rd Annual Intellectual Property Law; Policy Conference. Additionally, Alysse assisted Professor Hansen in his Trademark Law and EU IP Law classes.

Greg was a Dean’s Fellow with the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. During his time at Fordham, he was a Notes & Articles Editor for the Intellectual Property, Media, and Entertainment Journal and a legal intern with the Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property and Information Law Clinic. His duties with the Institute included researching and organizing the 23rd Annual Fordham IP Conference and serving as a teaching assistant for Professor Hugh C. Hansen’s Advanced Copyright course. Greg received his J.D. from Fordham University in 2014 and a B.A. in English from Saint Louis University in 2010.

Melissa Moriarty was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Melissa holds a J.D. from Fordham Law School and was a Notes & Articles Editor for the Fordham Urban Law Journal. Prior to entering law school, Melissa worked with college athletic departments to protect and monetize their copyright and trademark rights at a sports media licensing agency. Melissa holds a B.A. in Economics and a Certificate in Markets and Management Studies from Duke University.

Max Shapnik was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. His duties with the Institute included researching and organizing the 24th and 25th Annual Fordham IP Conferences and serving as a teaching assistant for Professor Hugh C. Hansen’s IP Survey, Trademark, and Copyright courses. Max received his J.D. from Fordham University in 2015, a MS in Negotiation & Conflict Resolution from Columbia University in 2011 and a BS in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2009.

Yelena Ambartsumian, while a JD student at Fordham Law, was a Research & Conference fellow at the Institute and served as Professor Hansen’s copyright teaching assistant. At Fordham, Yelena was also an active participant in Stein Scholars in Public Interest Law, the Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property & Information Law Clinic, and Moot Court. She received her Bachelor’s degrees in Spanish Literature and Political Science from the Honors Program at Fordham College at Lincoln Center, where she also minored in Theology.

Grace Aviles was a research assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute and a student at Fordham Law. Her interests include government regulation and policy, as well as the work the IP Institute does in advancing the necessary and meaningful policy discussions on intellectual property policy. Grace was also a member of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media, and Entertainment Law Journal.

Lydia Choi was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Lydia Choi spent most of her teenage years in NJ and considers herself to be a NJ native. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University with a B.S. in biochemistry with honors. She spent the following year working at Bristol-Myers Squib and an analytical laboratory after which she returned to Syracuse University and obtained a M.S. with thesis in synthetic organic chemistry. She pursued a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law.

Kyu Hee Chu was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Kyu Hee received her J.D. from Fordham Law School in 2013, where she was a Notes & Articles Editor for the Fordham Environmental Law Review. Kyu Hee graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University, with a B.A. in Political Science and French.

Tiffany Mahmood was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Tiffany studied chemistry at Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London before studying law at the College of Law, London. Tiffany also holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law from Fordham Law School.

Peter Menchini was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Peter pursued a J.D. from Fordham Law School. At Fordham, Peter was a staff member for the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal and worked with the Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property & Information Law Clinic during the spring 2014 semester. Peter graduated magna cum laude from Binghamton University in 2012, with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.

Ted Mulvany was a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute, where his work focused primarily on trademark and copyright. Ted received his LL.M in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law from Fordham Law School in 2016. He wrote for the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal and completed an internship at the Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property & Information Law Clinic. He also holds a B.A. in English and Legal Science as well as an LL.B., both of which he completed at the National University of Ireland, Galway.

Pieter Bas Munnik was a research assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute, He earned his LL.M. from Fordham Law School in 2016. He is interested in intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on copyright law and ISP liability. He is an editor at the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal. Pieter Bas graduated from the VU University Amsterdam with a LL.B. in 2015.

Jason Okanlawon was a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute and a current LL.M student at Fordham University School of Law. He is interested in Intellectual Property Litigation specifically with an emphasis in Copyright Law and Entertainment Law. His duties include researching and organizing the 24th annual Fordham IP conference and also serving as a Research Assistant to Professor Hugh C. Hansen. Jason graduated from the University of Lagos in Nigeria where he received his LL.B in 2014, and holds an LL.M. from Fordham University School of Law where he graduated from in 2016.

Kate Patton was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Kate received her J.D. from Fordham Law School, where she was a staff member of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal and an Executive Board member of the Media & Entertainment Law Society. Kate participated in the inaugural privacy educators program for Fordham’s Center on Law and Information Policy in 2013 and also interned in the Law Department at Time Inc. Previously, Kate worked for American Business Media, the leading association of business media and information companies, where she oversaw marketing, corporate communications and government affairs. Kate graduated summa cum laude from Binghamton University, with a B.A. in English.

Tara Pollard was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Tara received her J.D. from Fordham Law School. While in law school, Tara was a trademark intern at Kenneth Cole Productions, intellectual property intern at NBCUniversal and various other entertainment and intellectual property internships. Prior to law school, Tara was a paralegal at a personal injury law firm, and a public relations intern at the New York Rangers. Tara holds a B.A. in Sport Management from Ithaca College.

A. Arda Semiz was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Arda studied law at Marmara University in Turkey and is admitted to the Istanbul Bar. He worked as a corporate law attorney in Istanbul before coming to the United States. Arda holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law from Fordham Law School.

Luis Velez was a Research & Conference Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Luis earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Concentrating in Accounting and Marketing) from the University of Puerto Rico (at Mayagüez), graduating Magna Cum Laude. He received his J.D. from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Luis holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law from Fordham Law School. During his time as a student of Fordham Law School, he was a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal and a Post-Graduate Fellow for Professor Barry Hawk (Director of the Competition Law Institute at Fordham Law School). Before coming to New York, he worked as a litigator in Puerto Rico where he is still admitted to the State Bar, Federal Bar and Notary Public Bar.

Barbara Leal is a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. She is currently an LLM student at Fordham University School of Law specializing in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law. Her duties include researching domestic and international legal issues with respect to Patents, Trademarks, and Copyright and organizing the 25th Annual Fordham IP Conference. Barbara received her B.A. in Government from the University of Texas and J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.

Hansley Mohan is a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Hansley is currently pursuing his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law with a concentration in Intellectual Property and Information Law. He is also a member of the Fordham Law Moot Court Board and, starting this fall, he will be working in Fordham Law’s Samuel-Glushko Intellectual Property and Information Law Clinic. Hansley received his M.A. in Political Science from Long Island University in 2015

Devanshi Shah is a Research Assistant at Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. She is pursuing her LL.M. at Fordham Law School in Intellectual Property and Information Technology. Additionally, she is working at the Samuelson-Glushko Intellectual Property and Information Law Clinic and is a staff member for the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal. She is also a Privacy Educator with the Privacy Educators Program at Fordham.
Prior to starting her masters in law, she was working as an IP attorney at Khimani & Associates, India, where she is still admitted to the Bar. Devanshi graduated from Government Law College, Mumbai, where she received her B.L.S, LL.B. degree.

Narmeen Sheikh is a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Narmeen is currently an LL.M student at Fordham University School of Law, specializing in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law. She is interested in the transactional practice of Intellectual Property, specifically Copyright Law and Trademark Law within the Entertainment Industry. Her duties include researching and organizing the 25th Annual Fordham IP Conference. In 2016, Narmeen graduated with an Honors in Law LL.B from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Gigi Guo is a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. She is currently a J.D. student at Fordham University School of Law. She is interested in Patent, Copyright and Art Law. She worked at financial institutions as a technology analyst and a software infrastructure engineer for four years before law school. She received her B.S. degree in Information System Engineering and Business Management from Stony Brook University in 2011.

Maitha Alghanmi is a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute and a current LL.M student at Fordham University School of Law. She is studying a dual concentration in Intellectual Property and Information Technology law; International Dispute Resolution. Aaron Jagoda is a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Aaron is currently pursuing his J.D. from Fordham Law School and was the Senior Articles Editor for Volume XXVII of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. Prior to law school, Aaron worked as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Aaron holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.

Sven is a Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute where his work focuses on trademark and copyright law. He is an associate in the Munich office of the international law firm Reed Smith and a member of the Intellectual Property, Information and Innovation Group. Before joining Reed Smith, he worked for a British law firm based in Munich.

Sven studied law and business at Bayreuth University in Germany and obtained an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law from Fordham Law School (with Honors). He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree and writing a thesis on publicity rights in Germany and the U.S. Sven publishes regularly on current issues in IP and IT law.

Dinara Kamalov was a Senior Fellow for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. Her duties with the Institute included researching and organizing the 26th Annual Fordham IP Conference and serving as a teaching assistant for Professor Hugh C. Hansen’s IP, Trademark, Copyright and Advanced Copyright courses. Dinara received her LLM from Fordham Law School in 2017 and her J.D. from New York Law School in 2015. She holds BBA in Marketing from Baruch College.

Danielle was the Program Coordinator of the Fordham IP Institute and is currently pursuing her J.D. as an evening student at Fordham School of Law. Before joining the Institute, Danielle worked in the legal department at NBCUniversal. In this role, she is responsible for organizing the annual Fordham IP Conference and other programming opportunities. She is a staff member of the Fordham Intellectual Property Law Journal and focuses her research on entertainment, media and antitrust law. Danielle holds a BFA from New York University.

Elizabeth was a Fellow at the Fordham IP Institute. Before joining the Institute, she worked at Fordham’s Center on Law and Information Policy. Elizabeth holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA in English from Boston College, and she is licensed to practice in New York.

Sumyung Moon was a Research Assistant at the Fordham IP Institute. She has a B.S. in International Transportation and Trade from the State University of New York – Maritime College. She received her J.D. at Fordham Law School. She previously interned at the Law Library of Congress (Washington D.C.).

Olisa was a Research Assistant at the Fordham IP Institute. He is an Aberystwyth University law graduate. He was admitted into the Nigerian Bar in July 2016 and received an L.M.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology law at Fordham University School of Law. He has a passion for Entertainment industry and Intellectual Property Law and has gained previous experience as a member of the external relations team in the Lagos Court of Arbitration and has practiced as an entertainment Lawyer in Nigeria serving as a legal advisor to Kakadu the Musical, Nigeria’s award-winning musical. As well as acting as a research assistant to the institute he is also an LL.M. staff member of the Fordham Intellectual Property Law Journal.

Philipp Lengeling was a Research Assistant at the Fordham IP Institute. He is a graduate of the University of Cologne, Germany, where he obtained his Magister iuris degree and passed the First State Exam (“Erste Staatsprüfung”). He also received an L.L.M. degree from Fordham Law School in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law in 2018. Besides his studies and being involved with the Fordham IP Institute, Philipp works remotely for the law firm RafterMarsh (based in California and the U.K.), providing legal and business development services to small and medium-sized companies from the audio, music technology, and digital media industry. Out of the office, Philipp immerses himself in music by playing the keyboard, the guitar and as a music producer in numerous music projects.

Yue Yuan (Eve) was a Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute, doing research for Professor Hansen and the IP Institute. She has a passion for trademark and copyright, as well as an interest in the entertainment industry. She passed the Chinese National Bar in 2016, and received an LL.B degree in International Financial Law from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in 2017. In 2018, she also received an LL.M degree in Intellectual Property and Information Technology from Fordham University School of Law. As an undergraduate, she performed as an oralist in the 2015 and 2016 Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition, and completed internships at Yingke Law firm and King & Wood Mallesons.

Katharina Winkler was a student Research Assistant for the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute. She received an LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law at Fordham University School of Law in 2018. She received her first law degree from the University of Hamburg in Germany in 2014. Until December 2016, she clerked at the district court in Cologne, Germany. She also worked in the digital business and IT department at an international law firm in Germany and at a law firm in New York City.

Jenny was a Research Assistant at the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute and graduate of Fordham University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Jenny received her B.A. in Biology and Psychology and a Minor in Music from The George Washington University. In addition to her work with the Institute, Jenny serves as a Decennial Fellow with the Fordham Center on Law and Information Policy and as a Staff Member and Symposium Committee Member with the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal.

Jake was a Research Assistant at the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute and a graduate of Fordham University School of Law. Jake’s research has focused primarily on issues in global copyright law and recent developments in music licensing. Prior to attending Fordham, Jacob received his B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from Binghamton University – State University of New York. Jake has previously interned at the Attorney Grievance Committee, New York Supreme Court – First Judicial Department and at the New York City Department of Education.

Brianna was a Research Assistant at the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute and a graduate of Fordham University School of Law. Brianna’s research has focused primarily on the exhaustion doctrine and parallel imports applied to patents under international agreements. Prior to attending Fordham Law, Brianna received her B.A. in International Politics and Spanish from James Madison University. Post-law school, Brianna will pursue a career specializing in international IP law in business transactions. Brianna also serves as an Editor for the Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law. Brianna also just secured a position as an articles writer for the New York Bar Association in the Federal Commercial Litigation section.

Chris was a Research Assistant at the Fordham Intellectual Property Institute and a graduate of Fordham University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Chris received his B.A. in Economics and Minor in History from Boston College. Outside of law school, he studies Applied Physics to pursue a career in Patent law. In addition to working with the Institute, Chris also served as an Editor on the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal.

Sherif was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and is a current J.D. candidate at Fordham University School of Law. Prior to joining the Institute, he was a legal intern with National Basketball Players, Inc. He received his B.A. from Columbia University and, in his free time, enjoys history books and playing recreational sports.

James Gilmartin was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute. He is a current J.D. candidate at Fordham Law School and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2017 with a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in political science. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a financial advisor.

Hongjun is deeply passionate about copyright and patent issues in the art and fashion industry. Before attending law school, Hongjun received his B.S. in Economics from New York University. Darren was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and a J.D. candidate at Fordham University School of Law. Darren earned a B.A in English Literature from the City University of New York. He is interested in copyright and trademark issues in entertainment, especially in new media. In his free time, Darren enjoys baking and tinkering with new confectionery creations.

Lucy was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and J.D. candidate at Fordham University School of Law. Before attending law school, Lucy received her B.A. in English from Cornell University in 2011 and worked in contemporary art. She is especially interested in the intersection of IP law and economic policy. In her free time she writes art criticism and plays tennis.

Matthew was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and is a current J.D. candidate at Fordham University School of Law. As an undergraduate student at Berklee College of Music, he studied advanced legal issues in the music industry under Prof. Jay Fialkov. After receiving his B.M. in 2018, Matthew served as Director of Marketing at The Kurland Agency, a renowned talent firm for top jazz and blues artists, as well as Manager for hip hop artist / audio engineer Dreamer.

Michelle was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and is a current J.D. candidate at Fordham University School of Law. Before attending law school, she received her B.F.A. in Photography & Imaging from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. She is very interested in the intersections of art and IP law. In her free time, she draws and takes photographs.

Danny was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and is a current J.D. candidate at Fordham University School of Law. Before attending law school, Danny worked in the media industry as a political reporter. He studied public relations and economics as an undergrad at Florida State University. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, swimming, and golf.

Yuan Yuan was a Law Fellow at the IP Institute. She holds a J.D. from Fordham Law School, and a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University, where she majored in East Asian Languages and Cultures and minored in Political Science. She also spent a semester abroad at National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan, where she studied diplomacy and foreign relations. Prior to joining the Institute, she was a legal intern at Coach, Inc., and Gibney, Anthony & Flaherty, LLP.

Maaike was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and an LL.M. student with a concentration on IP law at Fordham University School of Law. Prior to coming to Fordham, she completed her legal studies in France and graduated with two masters’ degrees from University Panthéon-Assas in Paris. She also completed an internship at Dunnington, Bartholow & Miller during the summer, specializing in trademarks and intellectual property litigation.

Halley was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and a J.D. candidate at Fordham University School of Law, pursuing a concentration in Intellectual Property law. She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2020 where she received her B.A. in Biology and minors in Leadership Studies and Cinema Studies & Motion Picture Arts. In addition to her work with the Institute, Halley served as a Staff Member with the Fordham International Law Journal and executive board member for the Fordham Art Law Society and Artist Representation Society. Halley worked on the Intellectual Property Litigation team at Sidley Austin LLP as a law clerk during her 1L summer and as a 2022 Summer Associate.

Matt was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and a J.D. candidate at Fordham University School of Law. Matt received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan. In his free time, he enjoys reading and exercising.

Tien Le was a Research Assistant at the IP Institute and an LL.M. student in Banking, Corporate, and Finance at Fordham University School of Law. She graduated with honor from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. Prior to coming to Fordham, she had 3-year working experience as an Associate in one of the top tier law firms in Vietnam.

Rilana was a Law Fellow at the IP Institute. She received her LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law at Fordham Law School. Rilana previously obtained a degree in Information Law from the University of Applied Science Darmstadt in Germany and holds a Doctor juris from the University of Cologne. Before coming to the United States she worked as in-house counsel in a TV production company in Cologne and as a transaction lawyer at DLA Piper UK LLP in Munich.

Nandini Comar was a Research Assistant at the IP institute and an LL.M. student in IP law at Fordham University School of Law. She received her undergraduate law degree with a specialization in IP from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (India). She has also completed her engineering in the field of Biotechnology. She has previously worked with consulting firms such as KPMG, Gartner, and is also a registered Indian Patent Agent. Additionally, she is the LL.M. representative for the intellectual property law society.
