October 5 , 2017 – Federal Circuit Hearings at Fordham Law.
For the first time since 2007, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will be sitting in session in New York City. On October 5, a three-judge panel from the court will be holding hearings at Fordham University School of Law. The event will include welcoming remarks from Dean Matthew Diller. The hearings will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with the judges moderated by Prof. Hugh C. Hansen. Briefs for the parties are available here.

The event will feature a talk by Dr. David A. Cole, Executive Director, Hagley Museum & Library, on “A Nation of Inventors: The Politics of American Patent Models” (full details below). Dr. Cole’s talk will be followed by an open discussion during which we encourage panelists and attendees to raise questions about the presentation.
