Fordham IP Institute

27th Annual Conference Begins

The Intellectual Property Law Institute coordinates the Law School’s IP programs and develops new initiatives.  It fosters progress toward identifying and resolving issues of concern to the IP community and permits policy-makers to formulate integrated approaches to such concerns. It offers a forum for assessing developments that could seriously affect the international IP regime.

The Institute draws on the Law School’s prominence in IP and international law, its IP alumni network, and its collaborations with Queen Mary University (London) and the Singapore Intellectual Property Academy.

We invite you to participate in the Institute’s events, which are held throughout the year. In particular, we invite you to join us at the 27th Annual Fordham Intellectual Property Law & Policy Conference, to be held in New York City on April 25 & 26, 2019.

Testimonials From Our Conference

  • “What distinguishes the conference is the sheer intensity of its focus. Prominent speakers’ papers became the subject of vigorous and often dramatic debate as big name IP experts came under sustained fire from their peers and were required to defend their IP beliefs”

    The IPKat
  • “This must be one of the most enjoyable and thought-provoking conferences in the IP field. The high quality of the speakers is matched by the intense, audience-led debates and challenges which follow.”

The Late Sir Hugh Laddie, Former Justice, Royal Courts of Justice, London
  • “Faculty for the conference . . . speak with a combination of candor and timeliness that is unrivaled by any other forum of its kind.”

Honorable Marybeth Peters, Former Register of Copyrights, U.S. Copyright Office
  • “I always encounter the most stimulating ideas at the Fordham IP Conference in New York. That is the one I like for giving me fresh ideas and new ways to look at IP.”

Don Weerawit Weeraworawit, Deputy Secretary-General, Human Rights Commission, Thailand.
